ECF President Manfred Neun had been invited to the Bali Climate summit to represent there the cycling associations during the official launch of the new “Global Alliance for EcoMobility” on December 10, 2007. Neun decided otherwise: He sent a video-message instead, recorded in the city centre of his natal town, Memmingen, in Southern Germany. “This message will have a bigger impact than hasty words on site”, he said.
