The Cycling Embassy of Denmark, CED will be hosting a Bikeable City Masterclass in Copenhagen on May 26-30 coordinated by Australian Walking and Cycling Conference, AWCC.

The five day Masterclass is aimed towards professional planners in public administrations and private companies, local and national policy makers, academics and researchers, traffic police as well as active members of cycle organizations. It is especially developed with Australian, New Zealand, Singaporean and Taiwanese participants in mind.

The Masterclass incorporate the participants’ knowledge and experiences through presentations, hand-on workshops and site visits. We focus on the strategic planning for creating liveable cities with green mobility, and see the development of cycle culture and cycle planning as a mean to create better cities to live in. Here is for example traffic safety for cyclists by design an important issue. The aim is to prepare the participants to implement the tools learnt or developed during the course in their home cities.
