Kevin Mayne
Education/Work Experience:
I was Chief Executive of CTC, the UK’s national cyclists’ organisation for 14 years. I was also a member of the Board of Cycling England where I was a specialist on cycle training issues. In both roles I helped create millions of pounds of funding for cycling. I became a Vice President of ECF in 2007 and stood down to join the ECF staff. I am a lifelong cyclist who joined CTC after holding senior positions in multi-national food and packaging companies including Cadbury Schweppes and Kraft Foods. I studied Physics at Durham University.
Why work for ECF?
At ECF I can continue my twin passions – cycling and developing successful organisations
And what bicycle do you ride?
Weekdays a Giant Mountain Bike converted to a city bike or a folder. Weekends mountain bikes, road racing bike, Dawes Galaxy Touring bike – anything with wheels.

Why work for ECF?
I love cycling, that’s the reason why I love working at ECF.
And what bicycle do you ride?
I have 3 bikes: a full suspension mountain bike for mountain bike marathons; a touring bike for cycling holidays and a ECF folding bike in Brussels.

Fabian Küster
Education/Work Experience
Before ECF I have worked in Brussels for a German Member of European Parliament and the German Embassy. I have cycled wherever I lived and studied before: I took Master classes in Modern History, Political Science and Philosophy at universities in Dresden, Exeter, Leuven and Freiburg; and Postmaster studies in European integration and development here in Brussels.
Why work for ECF?
I love a challenge. As Policy Officer I focus on general mobility and road safety issues – it’s challenging because cycling as a means of transportation is often still not on the mindset of politicians.
Why bicycle do you ride?
My bike is a solid trekking bike as two children seats need to fit on it.

Dr. Randy Rzewnicki
Education/Work Experience
Ph.D. University KU Leuven, (Belgium) in the field of Health-Enhancing Physical Activity; Masters in Health Psychology, University of Vermont, Burlington, VT, USA.
Last position before joining ECF: General Coordinator at Fietsersbond Brussel (Brussels Cyclists’ Union).
Why work for ECF?
My career has been dedicated to the promotion of healthy behavior. At the ECF I can do this together with partners and colleagues across Europe. I love that I can say with confidence: “Cycling to work or school is the best thing for health: for you and for your child.”
And what bicycle do you ride?
I have two bicycles: I have been riding my Batavus Cayuga for well over 10 years, often with a son or daughter and/or a trailer behind me. I’m currently looking out for my next bike and haven’t decided what it should be. And I use my Dahon folding bike when it’s the better choice – combined with public transport for example, or when I need to carry it in a car.

Henk Hendriks
Education/Work Experience:
My previous work experience is 11 years internationally in community development, and 11 years in education before joining Fietsersbond 5 years ago. At de Fietsersbond I work in policy making and with lobby projects targeted to improve urban planning for cyclists.
Why work for ECF?:
ECF allows me to learn new active lobby and policy influencing tactics in an international context, while also applying what I’ve previously learned while working internationally, and back home with the Fietsersbond. Additionally, we can realize how easy cycling is in the Netherlands and how we can still improve.
And what bicycle do you ride?:
I have 3 bicycles for the city; a grandfathers bicycle with a double bar, front and rear carrier, one to exercise (bianchi), one for holidays, and the fourth bicycle is one that I ride regularly – the family’s 2 wheeled cargo bike.
