The North Sea Cycle Route is currently being introduced as the longest of long-distance cycle tracks with a total length of about 6,000 kilometres. This route is the first European long-distance cycle track and passes through six countries: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Germany. Along the way, touring cyclists can experience a variety of landscapes and localities in all the countries that border the North Sea. Each cyclist can determine his or her own staring point and destination – and what is not covered during one holiday can be looked forward to the following year.
