You will be able to see “Slovenske rudohorie” /The Slovak Ore mountains/. These mountains are known for their picturesque always green landscape and very vivid flora and fauna. Location in Lueenec allows you to see Southern Slovakia with its rural but mountainous character. We suggest 3 days of cycling in this region. In this region you will also get acquainted with the influence that Turks had during the years they dominated in this area. As the area has always been multicultural we hope you will taste its different influences on gastronomy - and its Hungarian spicy food. The second suggested area is located around the town of Brezno in Central Slovakia. From this town you can see the Low and the High Tatra mountains. Here you can find different kinds of landscape, high mountains, ice lakes, waterfalls, chamois on the tops hidden in clouds. This is the most tourist attractive area in Slovakia. We suggest 3 days of travelling in this area. The 3rd recommended area is East Slovakia, with a stay in the town of Prešov. There are meadows, little hills used by shepherds who wake up at 5 to walk their sheep and goats. You will also have a chance to taste their cheese and spirits to keep you in a good mood. |
