During May 2004 and after the great success of latest editions celebrated since 2000, once again you can discover the magic and diversity of the Spanish Greenways. The Spanish Greenways Magic Tour, will take place from 7th – 21st May of 2004. In addition of that we’re arranging another Tour during October of 2004 (15th – 29th October).
Vías Verdes / Greenways are the result of converting disused railway lines into cycling and walking routes. Easy, accessible, far removed from motorised traffic and with hardly any steep slopes, they are specially recommended for nature lovers and people who enjoy outdoor exercise. There is already 1.200 km of Greenways throughout Spain, all of which have been carefully prepared to be enjoyed by all types of users. A different way to travel around Spain.
Two weeks (and shorter options) by bicycle along 11 wonderful Greenways selected for their variety and charming following old railway lines recovered for cyclotourism. A different way (easy and safe itineraries largely away from car traffic with barely noticeable slopes) to travel along a special country with an extraordinary scenery and culture. With accommodation in very exceptional locations and visits (some of them by bicycle as well) to significant cities as Trujillo, Mérida, Seville, Granada, Barcelona, Girona, Tudela, Bilbao and Oviedo.
A total of more than 350 km through amazing valleys and mountains, impressive bridges and viaducts more than a hundred years old, mysterious tunnels that once let the trains passing through and now await the new adventurers. An unforgettable experience to meet an unknown reality and fantastic.
