The high north of Germany will soon be richer by one attractive cycle route and friends of cycling will learn about Schleswig-Holstein and its neighbouring country Denmark from quite a new perspective: from the border view. Because then a cycle touring route, newly opened on May 20th 2005, connects North Sea dyke and Baltic Sea beach and leads through the idyllic nature of the German-Danish borderland. Two seas, two countries - connected by the new attractive long-distance cycle route. One advantage for the sportingly active, who want to ride long distances fast: with this new border cycle route there exists at last a direct connection between the popular North Sea and Baltic Sea coastal cycle routes. There is a wealth of nature to be seen along the 66 kilometre route. |
