| To accompany the 25th anniversary of the cycle route ´Charming Tauber Valley - the Classic´ in 2005 the tourism community ´Charming Tauber Valley´ has for the first time made data available for the Global Positioning System - satellite navigation (GPS). The data required for this were acquired digitally in the summer. With this newly available data cyclists can, with the help of GPS, more easily cycle along the cycle route from Rothenburg ob der Tauber to Wertheim. The satellite navigation equipment also shows the way along the Main Valley as far as Freudenberg and then via the upland districts back to Rothenburg. „This satellite technology is now at one‘s disposal for the complete cycle route „Charming Tauber Valley - the Classic and the Athletic“, says managing director Jochen Muessig. Friends of this modern routing guide have the possibility to use this service by means of commercially available receivers. |
