Germany’s most bicycle-friendly town Muenster now also offers guided tours of the town by bike and special theme tours. On the ´Skulp-Tour´, a two-hour circuit to the art objects of the town, cycle tourists experience art not in the museum, but on roads, squares, on buildings, in parks and the open landscape. With its sculpture exhibitions Muenster brings since 1977 the international art avant-garde into town and thus has become a sort of open-air museum for contemporary sculpture in public space. This tour is experienceable either on one’s own initiative with the brochure „Skulpturen in Münster “ (“Sculptures in Muenster”, the brochure contains five tour suggestions) or bookable with a well-informed guide (costs: 66 Euro incl. brochure as a memento). |
