| The tour begins with a pickup at a hotel in Reykjavík and the participants driven to Vatnsskarđ where the actual biking tour begins. The final destination is the Blue Lagoon, a unique lake composed of geothermal water, suitable for bathing. This tour takes us through gently rolling terrain and a magnificent, mountainous panorama, via Djúpavatn (i.e., Deep Lake) and Grindavík (a fishing settlement on the south coast of the peninsula), through moss- and lichen-covered lava fields, formed in volcanic eruptions in past centuries. A picnic lunch will be offered during the middle of the tour, at Vigdísarvöllur. In the event of cold or wet weather, lunch will be served in a heated tent. The tour ends with a swim in the Blue Lagoon, a welcome relaxation after an exciting journey. The participants will be driven back to a hotel in Reykjavík.
