The centenary Tour was a fabulous race! Full of drama from the crash stage one and the last stage with the green jersey up for grabs. Lance was really put to the test this year, which was possibly the most difficult for him to win. However, there were several other riders who rode great! Tyler Hamilton with a fractured collar bone. His perseverance through three weeks pain is a testament to his courage. Jan Ullrich coming back from person issues and knee surgery. Could he have won with dry conditions in the last time trial?
The 2004 tour will hopefully bring another three weeks of spectacular racing.
