ECF (European Cyclists' Federation) is the home of cycling, bicycle, bike, cyclist and will ensure mobility, intermodality health, EuroVelo, Velo-city and Cities for Cyclists. Biking by cycle touring will be forced by bicycle policy which increases the cycle traffic, cycle tourism, Bike and train. In germany it is called Fahrrad, Radfahrer or vélo and cycliste. The European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) is pledged to ensure that bicycle use achieves its fullest potential so as to bring about sustainable mobility and public well-being. To achieve these aims, the ECF seeks to change attitudes, policies and budget allocations at the European level. Important links: The European Cyclists' Federation (ECF) will stimulate and organise the exchange of information and expertise on bicycle related transport policies and strategies as well as the work of cyclists movement.

Experience Europe by bicycle! Whether from the deserted areas in the high north of the continent up to the antique culture places in the Mediterranean region, from the French Atlantic coast along the river route up to the Danube delta in the Black Sea, around the North Sea or Baltic Sea: 12 cycle routes under the label EuroVelo were edited for the first time in a new cycle route map.

 
 
This map, written in English and in German, gives reliable information to the user regarding 66,000 km of cycle routes across the European continent. Where still no cycle tracks are put in place is documented as well as start and end of the routes, exact route guidance and the kind of the signposting. On the back there is a description to each of the 12 routes in German and English, colour photos as well as internet addresses leading to relevant cycling portals in the respective countries. Information on cycle carriage on trains can also be found.

The EuroVelo cycle route network is a project of the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF). ECF has published this map together with the Galli publishing house. Sponsor is the bicycle manufacturer ACCELL with its brands Batavus, Sparta, Koga, Winora and Hercules.
