This manual on Signalization of EuroVelo Routes is based on the evaluation of the “Survey on Signalization of EuroVelo Routes” carried out in winter 2005/06 by the Cycling in Switzerland Foundation in cooperation with the European Cyclists' Federation and the EuroVelo Route Atlantic–Black Sea project.

Signalization is based on the route information panel that will be integrated into, or combined with, an already existing cycling route to identify a EuroVelo Route.

These variations reflect the differing requirements of individual countries. They allow an individual and economic signalization of EuroVelo routes, which appear uniform to the user despite the variations.
