| Speeding cross country downhill: The Harz Nature Park poses mountain bikers with new challenges - in the newly opened Bike Park Hahnenklee beginners and experienced bikers get their money’s worth. Altogether seven routes await MTB fans on the Bocksberg. You have the choice between the downhill (1,100 metre) and the freeride stretch (1,250 metre), the Biker Cross descent (4x250 metre) as well as the North Shore (500 metre). Single trails snake in different levels of difficulty over distances of 1,250 - 1,500 metres into the valley. The demanding descents, covering 166 metres in altitude, are not just for professionals: beginners can also circumvent technically difficult obstacles and consolidate their experience in the saddle on the practice course. Mountain bikes, protectors and helmets can be hired on site for a fee. And also comfortable transport is provided for: The Bocksberg cable car brings bike and rider onto the 726 metre high mountain. An adult pays 4.50 Euro for a single journey, a whole day of bike pleasure costs 20 Euro. The Bike Park flyer can be downloaded from the Internet.
