A cycle tour with family factor: The ninth of the twenty-five suggested MVV cycle tours in the surroundings of Munich convinces with beautiful nature. Thanks to the low traffic, predominantly asphalted tracks and only a few climbs the route is suitable for excursions with the whole family. The landscape protection area Ammersee West tempts with its numerous swimming opportunities. Sights like the former Cistercian monastery or the pilgrimage church „St. Rasso“ invite one to visit. Who can resist the attractions on the wayside needs about three hours for the 35 kilometre route, if necessary the 48 minute journey from Munich Central Station to the start at Herrsching station must be added. A day-ticket for the entire MVV network costs 10 Euro, the partner ticket 18 Euro and two children between 6 and 14 years count in the fare system as one adult. Add to that 2.50 Euro per bicycle in regional, urban and underground trains.
