| Muenster is the bicycle-friendliest city 2005. In a nationwide survey the German Cycling Federation (ADFC) and the Alliance for Environment and Nature Conservation (BUND) have investigated how bicycle-friendly Germany’s towns are. Hardly any town has such a well-developed cycle route network at its disposal and so many special bicycle related offers as Muenster. Fittingly to this award a new bicycle leaflet “Rad fahren – Münster per Rad entdecken” (Cycle – discover Muenster by bike) has appeared. It is available free of charge at Muenster’s information office. The new cycling leaflet for the first time provides a compact overview about everything worth knowing about cycling. Besides a detailed service section with lots of useful addresses, such as bicycle hire possibilities and repair addresses, also the specialities and exceptional regulations of Muenster’s cycle traffic are shown. Furthermore the Muenster visitors also get valuable tips as to how they can experience the many sights of “Germany’s bicycle-friendliest town” by bike. |
