On the track of the “Blubb” [bubble]: Spinach fans will get an appetite on this tour. But the southern Münsterland is not just a paradise for fans of the well-known product with the “Blubb”. All sorts of vegetables from aubergine to zucchini grow in the fields of the iglo farmers between Reken and Borken.

Many sights on the four circuits, between 17 and 69 kilometres in distance, liven up the greenery like Raesfeld Castle which lies in the midst of scented fields of herbs. Today, in the adjacent deer park, red and fallow deer graze again. A few spins of the wheels later travellers admire Lembeck Castle which counts amongst the most imposing Westphalian moated castle complexes. The blossoming rhododendron cast a spell on visitors with its magnificent blooms from mid-May to mid-June. Returning to Reken one passes a game park, a goat cheese dairy and a tower windmill.

And whoever would like to reveal the secret of the “Blubb” includes an excursion to the iglo factory at Reken. From May 8th to September 13th 2007 guided tours will be organized every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tip: Information about the region and tour suggestions is found in the bicycle tour map published by the frozen food manufacturer and the municipality of Reken.
