It will be held from April 24 to May 14, 2007. It is organized by the Russian Cycle Touring Club, ECF full member.
This action is called upon for restoration and consolidating of century-old friendship between peoples and nationalities of the Caucasus. The ride wiil go through the Rostov, Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, the Kabardino-Balkarian, North and South-Ossetian Republics, then through Georgia and Armenia.
All route 1400 km length consists of 3 stages:
- 1stage, Rostov-on-Don to Mineralnije Vodi, 533 km,
- 2 stage, Mineralnije Vodi, Nalchik, Beslan (remember September 2004), Gori (Josef Stalin`s birthplace), Tbilisi, 486 km,
- 3 stage, Tbilisi – Spitak (destroyed in 1986 by eathquake)– lake Sevan - Erevan, 380 km.
Cyclists and cycle tourists from European countries are invited to take part.
Expenses for the tour are planned about 20 euros per a day (meals and a sag wagon).
Assistance with visa support to Russia, Georgia and Armenia will be rendered.
