| Weak legs and collapsed on the mountain on the last racing bike tour? Why don’t you practise in the Frankenwald Nature Park – on four new routes. The circuits are between 75 and 100 kilometres in length and have a stately 1,600 to 2,200 metres in elevation. The tour "Grenzerfahrung” [Border Experience] for example leads from Mitwitz along the Bavarian-Thuringian border over the Rennsteig to Ludwigsstadt and Kronach and back to Mitwitz. The "Hochland Main-Tour” [Highland Main Tour] stretches between the Weberwald forest near Helmsbrechts and the Main valley near Kulmbach. All four routes offer panoramic views of the Frankenwald plateau, long descents and respectable climbs out of the valleys back to the heights. The permanent changing of flat sections, gradients and descents gets you fit. For these routes the local racing cyclists have sought out quiet and well asphalted minor roads. The tours can also be connected with each other and extended for a cycle marathon.
