Biking the Balkans, the international caravan of cyclists organized jointly by UNESCO and ECF, on its way through the Balkan countries spent 2 days in Belgrade. The purpose of the UNESCO / ECF iniciative was to promote natural parks of the region, to encourage regional co-operation and development and to promote environmentaly freindly modes of transport and cyclist tourism.  At theirs stop in Belgrade, Yugo Cycling Campaign organized its 5th Bike Fest where about 300 cyclists joined the guests from different countries of Europe. During  couple of hours trip through Belgrade’s  main streets, cyclists were promoting new projects for bicycle paths in Belgrade and a new bascule bridge for cyclists and pedestrians. The caravan contuined its trip to Bosnia, Montenegro and Albania.
