The Velo-city series is organized by the practical work of Velo-city Series Director Dr Bernhard Ensink. To fulfill the task of the series as whole ECF invited other organizations into the Velo-city Council.
The Velo-city Council advices on the overall direction of the Velo-city conference series, and on the selection of host cities. The Velo-city Council comprises representatives of organisations from sectors that are important to the development of cycling, and operate at a European or world-wide basis.

The sectors already represented include; the cycle trade, public transport. It is planned that the composition of the Council will grow to also include organisations working in the health, road safety and other sectors important to the growth of cycling. This broad range of organisations can help to promote cycling in the future, and opens up the decision-making.

This will ensure that we take cycling to a wider audience in the years to come through the exciting medium of bringing people together at Velo-city events.
